Remote controls of the project

At the moment there are two important remote controls used:

Graupner MX-20 remote control

The Graupner MX-20 remote controlThe first one is the Graupner MX-20 HoTT in combination with the Mikrokopter set-ups of the octocopter and the quadrotor. This remote control has a telemetry backlink channel to display different informations for the pilot. The most important values are the amount of power used, the number of satellites for GPS, the currently approachedĀ  waypoint and the distance to it, and much more. The only weak spot of this remote control is it’s antenna, which breaks easily and hangs around then.

FrSky Taranis remote control

The second remote control, for the hexacopter and the planes, is the Taranis by FrSky. It is highly versatile and has lots of programmable options and features. Also it has a very good price. It also has a telemetry feedback channel to display important informations to the pilot.
